Vacuum Leak Detection

Agilent high performance leak detection solutions help you meet the rigorous standards required in manufacturing and R&D environments. The versatile line offers manual, automated and portable leak detectors. Based on either helium mass spectrometry or selective ion pump technology, Agilent leak detectors are easy-to-use, powerful and dependable to maximize your productivity and uptime. The leak detectors are backed by the Agilent global applications and customer support teams, providing expertise when and where you need it.

Vacuum Automatic Leak Detectors

Maximize your productivity and uptime

Agilent VS Series Automatic Helium Mass-Spectrometer Leak Detectors combine the simplicity of two-button operation with advanced system intelligence to give you easy access to powerful leak testing capability. Agilent Model VS C15 Component Leak Detector is a modular leak-testing package that can be incorporated into any system that employs a vacuum.

It is intended for applications in which the leak-detector components are permanently mounted to the system. Agilent Contra-Flow vacuum design maximizes the protection of components from contamination in industrial applications.

Vacuum Portable Leak Detectors

Lightweight, battery-operated, go-anywhere leak detection

The Agilent PHD-4 is a compact, portable leak detector weighing only 5.7 pounds (2.6 kg) and operating for four hours on its own battery. It can detect very small leaks in objects that have a slight helium/air pressure inside. It is sensitive to helium concentration as small as 2 ppm, equivalent to a leak rate of 5 x 10-6 atm-cc/sec.

Agilent’s Selective Ion Pump Detection (SIPD) technology enables superior performance to other leak detection methods such as bubble-testing. Automatic tuning and zeroing make the unit easy to use without operator training.

Vacuum Manual Mass-Spectrometer Leak Detector

Fast manual vacuum testing

The Agilent Model 959 MacroTorr Helium Leak Detector provides rugged and dependable leak detection and measurement and is the most cost-effective leak detector available. The Contra-Flow design keeps the spectrometer clean, with no need for liquid nitrogen. The large, externally mounted primary pump provides high roughing speeds and fast pumpdown times.

The leak detector can be purchased as a standalone unit (with primary pump purchased separately) or in combination with either an oil-sealed rotary-vane pump or a TriScroll dry pump. Both bench-mount and cart hardware are available.
